The text suggests a variety of places that entrepreneurs and business leaders find their ideas for a new enterprise. What do you do to “fire up your idea machine”? Where have you found good ideas for a new venture?
In your initial post, describe how you have motivated yourself to find new ideas and the idea that you are considering for your new venture. Respond to ideas presented by other members of the class, asking questions that will guide their thinking toward selection of their new venture.
"Fire up your idea machine" develop that skill understanding that what you perceive is a pattern connected to many other patterns most of which have yet to be perceived and described,
You have to work against your own bias for perceiving the familiar and stopping there. But every familiar thing is connected to a thousand other undescribed things and some of those represent current value worth pursuing.
The universe hides nothing from us. It is all out in the open waiting to be seen. The fact that no one has seen most of it yet comes down to being distracted by what our minds believe that then know and what they believe represents truth.
It will help a great deal if you can learn to ignore the facts and truths and get more comfortable with uncertainty. The best "new ideas" (the universe thunk em all up 13.8 billion years ago and they exist as potential) are just around the corner .
The best kind of motivation is self-motivation.
To demonstrate this point, let’s consider two scenarios you’ve likely experienced:
You have something you have to do. You’re not excited or passionate about it, but you know you need to get it done. This feeling of obligation motivates you to work hard to complete the task;
You have something you get to do. You’re interested in your task—you might have even assigned this task for yourself rather than receiving it from someone else—and you are happy to put in the time and effort to complete it.
