Expert Solution

Aerobic respiration is the coupled pocess in which glucose obtained from the stored form like which is which is aerobically converted into energy by three successive process.

1. Glycolysis

2. krebs cycle

3. Electron transport chain

Glycolysis : C6 H12O6 is starch/glucose oxidised in presence of oxygen into pyruvate molecule. From ech glucose molecule to pyruvate molecules are obtained. In this process glucose is converted into glucose 6 phosphate, Isomarised into Fructose 6 phosphate, and another phosphate added at 1 carbon and forms glyceraldehyde 3 phosphate and dihydroxyacetone phosphate. This forms energy compound phosphoenolpyruvate and finally pyruvate.

2. Krebs cycle :- this is also called as citric acid cycle, pyruvate is converted into oxaloacetate in presence of acetyl coa , is converted into of Alpha keto gluterate and succiate, fumarate and malate respectively. In these dehydrogenation steps NADH is formed enters into Electron transport chain.

3. ETC :- this chain consists of 5 complexes, NADH dehydrogenase, succinate dehydrogenase cytochrome oxids cytochrome reductase, ATPsynthase. Every electron two protons are released into inter mitochondrial space. Thus it develops Proton motive force due to potential gradient, electrons involved in splitting of water molecule and protons more info through ATP synthase V Complex and finally forms energy which used by ADP to convert into ATP finally does aerobic reaction completed by formation of energy
