Construct a Pareto chart for the types of technology used in the classroom by using MINITAB, which is shown in figure below.

 

MINITAB Procedure:

Step 1: Choose Stat > Quality Tools > Pareto Chart.

Step 2: In Defects or attribute data in, enter Type. In Frequencies in, enter Number.

Step 3: Click OK.

Observation:

• The percent of the total number of technology on each type accounted for by each type of technology is represented in the right Y-axis.

• The count of each type of technology is represented in left Y-axis.

• The red line over the bar indicates the cumulative percentage.

• The individual bars show the count for each type of technology.

• Websites have the maximum percentage since the bar of Websites is higher when compared to other types of technologies.
