Step 1 State your NULL and RESEARCH hypotheses completely.
Step 2 What is the df?
Step 3 What are the cut-off points?
Step 4 What is the pooled variance?
Step 5 What is the estimated standard error?
Step 6 What is the t-value?
Step 7 State your conclusion thoroughly.
We calculate the standard deviation, estimated standard error and the test statistic using the formula mentioned. The cut off points(critical values) are obtained from STATKEY(image attached for reference). Then we compare the test statistic and the critical value and make the required conclusion.
