Competent to practice:- It, means that an individual has enough qualification, knowledge, skills, and talent to come in practice as per the requirement. This practice can be part of any profession or job. Competent means are efficient or capable to do anything successfully and if one has enough knowledge and ability to do related to his profession then he\she is competent to practice.

Potential Consequences when a counsellor is not competent to practice are:- There are rules and regulation are already decided to be a good counsellor but if following points are not in an individual then he is not competent to practice are given in points.

  • A proper professional degree is required for practice if it is missing then he\she is competent to practice as a counsellor.
  • Good listening skill with intrapersonal skill.
  • They Must have the feature of taking responsibilities and treat there client well.
