Nutrition has the huge role in maintaining mother and baby health. An adequate supply of nutrients is essential for the normal progression of healthy fetal growth and development. Low birth weight, prematurity, as well as neural tube defects and other non congenital abnormalities, have shown that nutritional status is extremely important from around the time of conception and throughout the pregnancy. Along with extra calorie requirements, pregnant women need to eat a wide variety of foods ,with a focus on vitamin and mineral intake. Women who received nutritional supplement or sufficient nutrients through diet gave a birth to healthy babies. Several factors that can help identify nutritional risk in a pregnancy include adolescence, anemia, abnormal pregnancy weight, multiple gestation ,medical illness or medication that interfere with absorption of vitamins and mineral. By screening pregnant women for these factors, nutritional risk can be identified early on and dealt with in an effective manner.

Teenager growth and development was inadequate to have a baby in that age due to poor development reproductive tract organ ,so there are many chance of miscarriage . To prevent that and to maintain good health of teen mother and to avoid premature birth and low birth weight baby prenatal vitamins and Mineral supplementation was needed.
4. Dietary suggestion was needed for teen mother for maintaining of good health and to reduce risk of premature delivery, and low birth weight of baby.
