Your partner is dying from a rare disease. Luckily a cure has recently been invented, by one druggist who lives fairly close to you. This druggist is selling the cure for ten times the amount it cost him to make it. You try to raise the money but even borrowing from friends to family and taking a loan from the bank, you can only raise half of the amount. You go to the druggist and offer to pay half now and later but he refuses, saying that he invented the cure and is determined to make money of it. You beg him to sell it cheaper as your partner will die before you can raise the full amount, but he still refuses. You believe you could break into his house one night after he has gone and steal the cure. This would definitely save your partner, although you might be arrested for the crime.
1. What should you do?
2. What if you could only steal the cure by killing the druggist?
3. Would you do that knowing the consequences?
Answer 1. In this case when my partner is going to die from a rare disease and a druggist who live near me found the cure but providing this treatment in ten times of its actual cost.
I will try my best to by the treatment provide by the druggist in the legal limit. I can not kill the druggist for the cure of my partner. As murder is a serious crime to do. I will try my best to arrange the money that is required for getting that drug. I will sell the property which i have to buy the drug from the druggist.
Answer 2.
If i get the cure by killing the druggist, i will not do the same. As i told murder is the serious crime to do. This is a serious crime to kill someone to protect the other person. I can not kill a person to protect my partner from dying.
ANSWER 3. I will not murder someone to save my partner from the dying. As the consequences of killing a person is so bad. I will try as much as possible in the legal way to save life of my partner.
