McClellan's theory of motivation States the different types of things which are based on the needs for motivating the people who are working in the organization.

The three things which motivate the people to work in the organization consist of different type of needs like.

1. Need of achievement - the first and the most important thing in anyone's life is to achieve something, and it is one of the most important needs in anyone's life we can take an example of a person who is working as a lawyer he has the need to win the cases for being recognized and if he is a painter there is a need for him to become a famous artist in the world. So when a person is working in an organization his first need is to achieve the goals of the organization according to his needs to make himself stabilized into that organization which motivates him from within to do the work in a most priority manner so that no problem comes on the way of the person who is working and his evil to face the real life challenges and are able to overcome them and achieve whatever goals he has said in his life which is convenient of having high risk or low risk, but it depends on him how he uses an opportunity and achieves the result which he is supposed to achieve in the business.

2. Need of affiliation the second most important thing to achieve is the affiliation which is the Earth of that person of having interpersonal or social relationship with the other people who are working with him. Every person wants to have a good working environment where no disputes take place so that the person can work with the open mind and is able to participate in the decision-making without any issues arising in that persons career life. When a person is getting an affiliation or an affection for love and care from the people who are working in the organization he feels like a family of the organization and is always ready to face all the challenges which come in the way of the organization and are able to gain more and more profits.

3. Need of power - the third but the most significant thing which a person need is power every person wants to get some power in his hand to control the situation within the organization by getting some authority from the higher level of management in taking decisions into the organization according to his needs and desires when a person gets the power to take the decision he is motivated and is equal to co-ordinate the organization and become a team with the organization and when he possesses some Power he feels himself as the greater person in the organization and feels himself important for the organization and when he feels himself important he never tries to leave the organization at any point of time and always stand with the organization at the time of difficulties

So these three are the things which any manager should keep in his mind before planning something in his organization regarding the needs and wants of the people who are working in the organization for achieving the goals of the organization and make himself proud and self-motivated about achieving the goals.
