Using high-quality electronic sources of healthcare information is an expectation of the Registered Nurse. Technology is used for medication administration, patient identification, and increasing continuity of care. The application of technology and information management helps to support safe, quality care. Another responsibility of the professional nurse is to identify and utilize valid evidence-based practices. To ensure that best practices take place in healthcare, the nurse must understand when a modification to evidence-based practices is necessary.

Provide an example of RN experience(s) with technology, patient confidentiality, and evidence-based practices. This can either be from a healthcare perspective, or in everyday life.

EHR is the trademark change which has been evolved in the recent healthcare sector and it's been the nurses who use it more than any other healthcare member . Even to deal with it a different cader called busting informatics has been developed to take care of it and in that nurses are the guides to teach other how to use it . They are involved in many health related web site designs by the engineering department so that a need appropriate search engine can be developed for the organization

Research in nursing has changed its objective of simply providing care to providing evidence based care . Researches are done ,practices are experimented ,evidence are collected and patient improvement is noted which are then verified and hence applied in practice .

#. Nurses use HIPPA protocols and follow ethics to ensure patient confidentiality .

The areas of Technology for RN’s are strong in knowledge and/or experience is in the application of healthcare websites and in-house organization websites, usage of various medical equipments etc while the areas of technology for RN’s which are the weakest knowledge and/or experience is when rectification is needed in a software or machine like ping etc .
