The purpose of this assignment is to provide an opportunity for students to apply the nursing process while planning education to meet the needs of patients.
Instructions:
Develop a teaching plan based on an assigned scenario or case.
Determine what elements you would include in your assessment of the
learner. Identify anticipated or expected learner needs. Select and
prioritize evidence based teaching strategies that would best meet
the needs of the learner. Describe the resources you would provide
to enhance learning. Explain methods that would be used to evaluate
learning outcomes. Provide rationales for elements of your teaching
plan supported by references from the required course reading
assignments. Use the teaching plan format assigned. The
competencies contained in the Teaching Plan Rubric will be assessed
through this assignment.
The ability to think critically ,improve clinical systems and decrease errors in clinical judgement are ever the vision of nursing practice. Nursing faculty have a historical tradition of teaching their students to think like a nurse as originally described by Florence nightingale. If then, every woman must, at some time or other of her life, be one a nurse that is have charge of somebody's health, how immense and how valuable would be the experiences of her will be..
Nursing process function
Nursing education involve adult learner as students. The adult learning environment reflects a relaxed and informal climate where process activities and collaboration are encouraged and evaluation is by the teacher, oneself and peers. They construct knowledge by linking concepts together in meaningful ways based on former learning and life experiences. Teaching / learning strategy that promote open communication is student led clinical rounds. During clinical rounds, students have the opportunity to communicate assessment data, collaborate ideas, create plans for patients ,and view the situation from multiple perspective. During rounds nursing faculty have the opportunity to engage themselves in thinking process of their students and present themselves as superior in the critical thinking abilities.

Implentation is the step which involves action or doing and the actual carrying out of nursing intervention outlined in the plan of care. This phase require nursing intervention according to standard treatment protocol.
The nursing process functions as a systematic guide to client centered care with 5 sequential steps these are assessment, diagnosis, planning ,implementation and evaluation.
