A bag contains 3 red marbles, 2 green ones, 1 lavender one, 3
yellows, and 3 orange marbles. HINT [See Example 7.]
How many sets of five marbles include at least two red ones?
sets
Total = 3 + 2 + 1 + 3 + 3 = 12 marbles
Red can be 2 or 3 because total 3 red we have.
Total ways = C(3,2)*C(9,3) + C(3,3)*C(9,2) = 3*84 + 1*36 = 252 + 36 = 288
Hence, total 288 different sets of five marbles include at least two red ones.
