Heat exhaustion is a commonly occur due to dehydration in body , when their is less fluid intake in body .

Medical management for heat exhaustion is —

For mild cases of dehydration , electrolytes, juices, fruits, transfer patient to cooler environment, remove the tight clothes and change it to relax ones,

For sever dehydration , saline is given, medications is recommended.

Nursing management for heat exhaustion is —

First priority is to restore balance of fluid which is loss in body.

Evaluation of risk factors, proper assess the case, and than provide treatment of hydration therapy.

Give a cool environment, change the tight fitting clothes and relax the patient, glucose, electrolyte, juices, is given, place the patient in supine position, raise the feet , cold packs is given.

Observe the fluid and electrolyte balance in body. In severely affected cases medications is given.
