Ebola virus causes Ebola virus disease formerly known as Ebola hemmorrhagic fever which is a very dangerous and often fatal disease. Ebola virus are neither prokaryote nor eukaryote and remain in passive form most of the time unless they come in contact with living beings like humans and get active and start dividing themselves. They are member of Filoviridae Virus family known for causing viral hemmorrhagic fever which is type of fever that causes shock and even death with severe bleeding. If we talk about the Ebola structure, they have cell membrane and nuclear protein inside and glycoprotein outside. The genetic material which is RNA is within the nuclear protein. It also has an enzyme called polymerase which helps in it's replication. Another important structure worth noting are VP40 and VP30 which are equally essential for the replication of the virus. The transmission in humans happen through infected animals and with the contact of their bodily fluid. The presence of glycoprotein on the outer part of the Ebola virus let it come inside the host cell without much resistance and the genetic material inside the virus start replicating and undergo a process of transcription and translation where the genetic material makes a structure for themselves on their own. The main reason why Ebola virus is so fatal is because it even replicates itself inside the immune cell causing secretion of inflammatory molecule by the immune cell.
