There are a number of considerations or variables which contribute to a poll’s accuracy. Give an account of these and how they may affect a poll’s accuracy.
Generally, the poll's accuracy is determined by the following considerations or variables:
1. Which person is being interviewed/inquired? Generally speaking, asking a minor about the election voting is inaccurate. That particular topic has another group of individuals to be interviewed.
2. When the poll was conducted? Poll taken during the week of the election will be more accurate than the poll which was taken during the last season.
3. Who conducted the thing? Some group of people having special interests in the topic or a candidate in terms of elections expect predicted output and they obviously like to do so which is not an accurate way to conduct a poll and which is basically devastating the basic requirement of conducting a poll.
4. Percentage of error: Polling groups should indicate the possible error in order to provide a clear output.
5. Conditions on which the poll had been conducted: Unbiased, clear and not charging individuals emotionally is the best way to operate a poll as the results tend to change if the organisation do so.
Personal interviews are better way to conduct a poll rather than conducting it in a telephonic way as live contact can be reliable more than the latter.
