Employee (E) - Good Morning. How are you?
Manager (M) - Good morning. Fine, please have a seat.
E - So, you called me here.
M - Yes, I just wanted to have a word with you regarding the companies current situation. You must have heard that the company is downsizing due to less revenue.
E - Yes, I have heard it. But as far as I think the company should involve some good sales representatives like me and just carry on the business at a large as the company has a good brand image and will definitely get the sales achieved.
M - Ohhh, This means you have much confidence in yourself.
E - Yaa I have it but its not like having confidence it is about knowing the market value of our product which I gave got to know by being in here for last 6 years.
M - Ok..Thats good you have got that experience. But i wanted to tell you that the management is thinking you to let go as the company dont has profits to pay you the salary.
E - If it is so then I dont have much problem because i have that capability to go around and get a job but you must look over my figures of the targets or sales that i have provided to the organization.
M - If it so just give me a minute to check those out again in front of you.
E - Sure.
M - You have achieved XYZ targets till now i.e. 90% of the target given to you.
E - If it is like achieving the little less then just give one more chance that is in excess of my notice period i.e. 2 months.
Just provide me 6 months of time i am gonna get my sales raised by 60%.
M - Ok as you have given so much to the company and even have so much confidence upon yourself. We will be providing another chance of 6 months.
E - Ok then but what i am gonna get if able to achieve the targets 50% more. I even wanted to have a word regarding better severance package.
M - Ok, Yaa please share what you want to say clearly.
E - Actually i wanted to say, If i will be achieving these targets then even i want a hike over my salary of 25%. Consider it as a contract and please confirm me the same.
M - Ok if it such then let me have a word with management and i will get back to you by tomorrow.
