Medical marijuana is a controversial topic with few towards pros of it and few towards cons.

Medical marijuana means prescribing marijuana just like other medications by the physician. But there isn't substantial data comprising the hazards or benefits of marijuana on people suffering with HIV / AIDS, or other chronic illnesses.

Also , marijuana can be grown in some places out of central regulatory control which may be contaminated by fungus which can pose a threat to immunocompromised individuals.

The psychoactive ingredient in marijuana called tetrahydrocannabinol ( THC) would be found in different concentrations according to the conditions grown which can be confusing so as to at what concentration is it therapeutic and at what level it is hazardous.

Also, it posses a threat of becoming addictive . Since it contains psychoactive component there is a higher risk of getting addictive to the marijuana. What started for treatment purpose may end up being a problem.

All these are cons of medical marijuana.

Thank you.
