What does randomization ensures in any experiment?

What does randomization ensures in any experiment?

Solutions

Expert Solution

The process of randomly assigning treatments into groups in am experiment is called randomization.

So as there is a randomness selection or distribution of treatment , this prevents or eliminates the possible biases that can rise in an experiment. In terms of clinical trails experiment, when there is a work of selecting treatment for a patient, randomization prevents the selection bias and balances the groups. That time , randomization ensures that each patient is likely to get any of the treatments with equal probability under study.

Like see, before running an experiment if we are biased to any group then we may not get the actual outcome of that experiment. So that time randomization plays a lot as it doesn't allow us to be biased to any group. Hence it reduces the bias and ultimately helps us to support the statistical test tool to maintain the efficacy of the outcome.

In one line-up randomization in an experiment ensures a more perfect result/ outcome as it prevents the bias of selection or assigning.
