1. Iron is essential element blood production. It found in red blood cells of body called hemoglobin, and it found in muscle cells called myoglobin.Hemoglobin is essential for transportation of oxygen from lungs to tissues. Iron helps convert blood sugar to energy. Iron boost the immune system . The average daily intake for men over 18 is 8.7 mg per day and 14.8 mg per day for women aged 19 to 50 years.
2.Iodine is in essenti mineral needed for thyroid hormone production which is essential for metabolism , bone and brain development in the body. Recommend daily allows of iodine in adult men and women is 150 micrograms per day.
3.Zink needed for the bodys defensive system to work properly.Zink play a role in cell division ,cell growth ,wound healing and breakdown of carbohydrates. It helps in maintaining senses of smell and taste. Recommend dietary allowance for adults is 8mg for women and 11 mg for men per day.
4.selenium is constituent of more than two dozen selenoproteins that play critical roles in reproduction,thyroid hormone metabolism, DNA synthesis and protection from oxidative damage and infection. Recommended daily allowance for 1 to 3 years 20 mcg/day. , for 4 to 8 years 30mcg/day, for 9 to 13 years 40 MCG/day.
5. Copper is required for adequate growth, cardiovascular integrity, lung elasticity, neo vascularization, neuroendocrine functions, and helps in iron metabolism. Recommend daily intake for children 900 to 1,100 mcg/day and 1400 to 1700 mcg/day for adults aged above 20 years.
6. Manganese is involved in metabolism of amino acids,cholesterol,Glucose and carbohydrates.It play a role in blood clotting and hemostasis in conjunction with vitamin K. The daily adequate intake levels for manganese are men age 19 and older 2.3 mg and women 19 and older 1.8 mg , pregnant women 2mg and for breast feeding women 2.6 mg per day.
