. Compare Audit Processes: The Process Audit - by Michael Hammer) and Baldrige National Quality Program: Criteria for Performance Excellence (TQM)
The Process Audit by Michael Hammer and Baldrige National Quality Program are significantly different from each other. The Process Audit focusses on the view that the managers should concentrate on the whole process of the company than on just concentrating on a few selected activities. The aim should be to develop process oriented employees who can improve the whole process of the business than to just develop supervisors who focus on certain specific goals.
The Balridge National Quality program has developed a criteria for integrated management framework which is used to manage the organizational performance. It deals with leadership, customer relationship, strategic planning, workforce management, operations etc.
Thus, it is clear that the process audit is more oriented towards the process that is followed in the company while the Balridge National Quality program concentrates on all the aspects of the company and how the quality can be maintained in all these areas.
