The count of the older population is increasing world over with increased level of life expectancy. People over the age of 65 are more in the world now. Also the population of the world is increasing at a higher rate. This has led to the increased level of poverty in entrire world. When poverty rates are increasing then the most affected portion of the population is the elderly community be it men or women.

  • The social life of urban elderly who are poor is better when compared to the rural elderly poor.
