What are the similarities and differences of 1. a control group and 2. a condition that is used in
1. Operant Conditioning
2. Classical Conditioning
3. Observational Learning
Write it in a way that there is a correlated and distinctive property for each.
A control group is a group of participants who do not get any experimental treatment ( interventions) during the experiment. Whereas an experimental group is the one where the participant’s get special kind of experimental treatment ( interventions) during the experiment.
There are many conditions in classicial, operant conditioning and behavioural learning.
In classical conditioning, there are 4 principles:-
1) unconditioned stimulus- the natural stimulus that evokes a natural response.
2) conditioned stimulus- a neutral stimulus that is associated with a natural ( unconditioned ) stimulus.
3) unconditioned response- the natural and automatic response that an organism gives to a natural stimulus.
4) conditioned response- the response that an organism gives which is learnt through association with a neutral and natural stimulus.
In operant conditioning, there is importance of reinforcement and reward.
Reinforcement is something that increases the probability of occurrence of a behaviour.
Punishment is something that decreases the probability of occurrence of a behaviour.
In observational learning, there is involvement of a model who inspires the organism. This is through active imitation.
All these are having correlation which shows the relationship between them.
