Some marketers believe that product performance is the most important thing. Other marketers maintain that the looks, feel and other design elements of products are what really make the difference.
In your opinion, how important is design for a product? Let's try to think outside the obvious cases - luxury products, fashion, etc. You can find an example here, or see the info on the Fuse Project. Are there any other products where design could make a difference? what would you improve
Yes, design could make a difference............ see below bottle with a 'cap tumbler', so the cap can be used as glass.
Definitely design makes things attractive but sometimes serves other needs also.
Some more examples...
here...design change allows the extra storage, charge your phone, and can keep your hellmate also in two wheelers
here is one more example ......luggage bag with wheels for long journeys.
You can carry or drag the bags.
and some more......
these are only few examples where design change serves extra needs. So many applications are there where design modifications not only for fashion or attractiveness or luxury things but for extra needs.
Finally, if you see sports cars, bikes, and rockets, aeroplanes, vehicles etc.... their mechanical design plays crucial role in reducing drag force of fluid (air) so that decreases the fuel consumption and makes journey smooth.
Thankyou
