Compare and contrast how certain predatory crimes (for example, theft, extortion, sex crimes, child luring) are conducted offline and online. What are the similarities and differences in how these crimes are carried out in both instances? How has the execution of these crimes online changed the nature and scope of such crimes? Has the internet and social media made these crimes more widespread?

The recent rise in predatory crime such as ( Theft, Extortion, Sex crimes) brings up new challenges in front of the society.They are conducted in two ways Offline and Online.

The ways through which Offline predatory crimes happen are as follows:- In this,The crimes are being performed by the person with having a presence in front of the person who is being harmed. For eg Kidnapping someone needs physical involvement in the act etc There are several other examples of such cases. Child trafficing, Physical Harrasment etc involves physical presence of the person so they are categorised under Offline Predatory Crimes.

Online predatory crimes :- These crimes are being performed in the virtual space means there is no physical contact between two persons but the one is threatening you for Extortion through Mobile, Emails etc.It also involves somekind of black mailing through Electrical devices. Online Bank fraud is also an example for these crimes.

Offline Predatory crimes are experiencing a rapid growth because of the involvement of Youths in such cases is rising.

The similarities between both  is simple,They are posing same threat to the person who is facing these kind of issues.

The difference is that From offline crimes you are safe in some places but With Online Crimes you are not safe because that person can target you by sending threats through Different platforms such as Email, Messages,Through Social Media platforms etc.  

The execution of these crimes through Online medium has simply changed their nature.They are more harmfull in comparison to offline crimes and it has acquired a massive reach in the society.

The usage of Internet and Social media platforms with wrong intentions has played a prominent role is spreding these kind of acts so rapidly. The youths easily become the soft targets in this type of crimes.
