Explain some affective Ways to Communicate with Adolescence that Are Having Anger Issues
Due to hormonal changes, teenagers undergo several mood swings. Most of them will not be able to control their anger. The ways with which you could communicate are:
1. Stay calm and try to understand and analyse the situation from the teen's perspective.
2. Help them to speak their heart out, don't set any limitations or rules. Let them know that they are open to speak and your are open to listen.
3. Don't give long lectures but let them know the consequences in a short and strong way.
4. You can explain a similar situation that you or someone you know have underwent and how they had overcome it. Try encouraging and supporting them that it's okay.
5. Ignore their passive aggressive behaviour and try to out give positive comments to their negative views or talks.
6. Get to know about their favourite hobby or pastime and bring out a conversation about it. You can slowly calm them and gain their trust to communicate.
7. Identify what's triggering them and try to avoid speaking about it.
