INTRODUCTION

Women can get pregnant from puberty till menopause.The average reproductive years are between 12-50 years.Best time to get pregnant is between late 20's and early 30's . During this period women are more fertile and the risks are very less.

ADVANTAGES OF GETTING PREGNANT IN EARLY 30S

Physical benefits

1. Women are more fertile during this period

2. Reduces the risk of chronic conditions (diabetes, thyroid, hypertension)which complicate the pregnancy

2. Reduces the risk of having miscarriage

4.Avoids the major risk to the mother and baby during labour

5. Reduces the risk of genetic abnormality like down syndrome

6.Decreases the chances of having multiple pregnancy( chances of having twins increases with age due to natural hormonal variations)

7. Women in their early 30s are being physically active, so they will stay physically fit throught out pregnancy

8. During this age women feel strong and active ,which minimize the pregnancy related discomforts.

10. Women who stay active during pregnancy have easier and shorter labour

1.Difficult to admit or accept the pregnancy

2.Couples will not be well preapred financially.

3.Couples may not be psychologically prepared for the pregnancy

4.Couples may not develop intimate  relationships

5.More risk for mother as well as baby during pregnacy (anemia, preeclampsia, low birth weight baby)

chances of more complications in mother and baby during labour(preterm labour)

6.Labour process is very dangerous for young ages(teenagers) as the hip and pelvic structures are not mature enough to support the vaginal delivery

7.More chances of getting emotional problems as the couples are not prepared physically and mentally for the pregnancy

8.Mental upset while meeting the couples with same age who are not pregnant

9. Develops anxiety and depression regarding child care

10.Less support from partner and family members
