John Brown has been depicted as both a patriot and a terrorist. Which do you think is the best description of him and why?
The best description for John Brown, according to me, is that he was a patriot. He was not motivated to strike fear and achieve something that was immoral. He fought for the end of slavery an act which has stopped the development of fellow human being and subjected them to inhuman treatments. He was not driven by blood and thirst to achieve power. He was driven by principals and morals which she showed adequately in his raids. He refrained from killing anyone who was not his target even though they were his opponents. He always tried to minimize the collateral damage done. He never tried to kill commoners, which terrorists do.
Instead of calling him terrorist, the current generation should call him a patriot. He fought for something that was purposeful. He fought for the integration of American society. He was no against the government of the land or constitution, he was only against those white supremacist, who used to justify and commit killings and torture of African-American on the name of slavery.
