Right from testing to treating COVID 19 is a costly affair and affordability is a major concern. Nursing home members should be offered insurance to cover the cost. Partnering with hospitals for testing and treatment will be a reassurance to the members and accessibility will improve the situation. Hospital teams can make regular visits and do regular testing. The patients in serious condition who need hospital care can be transferred to the hospital. The not-so-serious cases can be treated in the nursing home by making the necessary arrangements there itself. The treatment cost will be met by the insurance providers, who in turn will be paid from the mandatory insurance option introduced by the nursing homes.
