A 73-year-old male patient complains of progressive darkening and clouding across his entire left field of vision. The patient reports no pain or trauma, and the progression has taken place very gradually. He is diagnosed with a cataract in the left eye.
A) EVen though cataract occurred only on the left eye cataract procedure is performed on both eyes, else it will cause difference in vission as one eye there will be difference in vision.
B) DRAPING: lift the lense cover and fasten it to microscope. Pull the drape over the head and arm of the microscope as well as the eyepieces.
C) it is important as power from the gloves can cause corneal corruption.
