*****Urgent Please !!!! Please answer using ---- RESEARCH QUESTION - ( How has the COVID-2019 pandemic affected mental health among hospital employees? )*****
1. What is your research question?
2. Does your research question meet the FINER criteria? Please explain
3. Provide some background and significance.
4. What is your proposed study design? What is your time frame?
5. What is your justification for your proposed study design.
6. Who is your proposed study population? What are the selection criteria? How are you going to reach your proposed study population? Do you plan on surveying everyone, or take a sample? I take a sample, will it be a random or convenience, or other sampling design? We will go over sampling designs in more detail later, but I'd like you to make an educated guess.
7. Why did you choose this study population, the selection criteria, the sampling design, etc.?
8. What is/are your exposure(s) of interest, and how will you collect information on your exposure variables? Why did you choose this way of measuring?
9. What is/are your outcome(s) of interest, and how are you going to collect information on your outcome variables? Why did you choose this way of measuring?
10. Provide an example of a research hypothesis related to your study.
Do not do sample size calculations or analytic approach.
Think like a scientist and carefully considering the different aspects of your study design.
1. Research question:
"Psychological impacts of the COVID 19 pandemic on healthcare workers": A cross sectional study.
2.In light of the unprecedented public health crisis of the s 19 pandemic it is highly important to acknowledge the psychological impact of these mounting threat on health care professionals. Previous experience from smaller scale epidemics and emerging literature around COVID 19 so that the unparalleled amount of stress that health care workers are dealing with, is associated with increased psychological morbidities. We have depicted the psychological burdon that the COVID 19 pandemic has post on health care professionals.
Due to the ihe increased risk of exposure to the virus our front line doctors , nurses and health care workers fear that they may contact COVID 19 themselve they worry about bringing the virus home and passing it on to lived ones and family members , elderly parents, mewborns and immunocomprosed relatives. Our healt care staff also report increased stress level when dealing with patienontacts of limit intensice care beds and resources. unwilling to cooperarte or not adhering to safety instructions, and feelings of helplessness when dealing with critically ill patients, in the context of limit intensive care beds resources. The ise of protective equipments for long periods causes difficulties in breathing and limit assess to toilet and water, resulting in subsequent physical and mental fatigue.
3. Background and Significance:
Healthcare workers fighting against the corona virus disease 2019 (COVID 19) pandemic are under tremendous pressure, which puts them at an increased risk of developing psychological problems.
Corona virus spreads to 198 countries with approximately 37.1M confirmed cases and 1.07M deaths globelly as of october - 11, frontline healthcare workers face and substantially higher risks of infections and death due to excessive COVID 19 exposures. This review aims at summerising the evidence of the physical and mental health impact of COVID 19 paqndemic on healthcare workrs.
4. Method: A cross sectional, survey can be used to know the pandemic effect on mental health among hospita;l employess.
Psychological problems can be assesed by using generiled anxiety disorder scale. Ptient healt questionaire and insomnia severity index. Logistic regression and anlyses can be used to explore the factors that were associated with the psychological problems.
5. Justification::
The use of routenely collected data allows large cross sectional studies to be made at little or no expenses. this is a measure advantage over other forms of epidemiological study and also it helps to know the impact of COVID19 on health care workers (Physical and Mental status)
6. Popullation: Healthcare workers from different regions throught the India.
Sample : Healthcare workers from selected hospitals.
Its better to take the sample from selected hospital according to the convinience (Convinient sampling technique)
7. I choose beause health care workers meets the need of the study i mean we will comes to know the mental status of health care workers due to pandemic effect(COVID 19)
Criria i selected is convinience because healthcare workers are busy with thier job in the hospitals thats why according to the convience we can coolect the data it would be easier for me to conclude the study
8. i will collect the information from the health care workers by using Patient health questionaire and insomnia severity index, logistic regression analyses can be used to explore the factors that were associated with psychological problems and also by using genralised anxiety scale.
9. the above mentioned methods can be used to collect the information from the sample to meet the criteria.
10.Research hypothesis related to this study
Examples
Healthcare workers mental health problems corelate with organisational factors such as work load and exposure to COVID19 patients
Helath care workers are more interested in occupatio al protection, rest and social support the in professional psychological help.
Intervention focus more on addressing individual psycho pathology, which points towords a mismatch between what workers went and need, and the service available to them.
CONCLUSION: Psychological problems are pervassive among healthcare workers during the COVID 19 pandemic . Recieving negetive information and participating infront line work appear to be important risk factors for psychological problems. The psychological health of different health care workers should be protected during the COVID 19 pandemic with timely intervention and proper information feedback.
