3. Post on the forum a description of techniques for studying the brain’s connections to behavior and the mind. Include your comments on the relevance of these techniques to psychiatric nursing practice.
4. Search for and locate at least one study that focuses on the study of genetics, (with respect to session one) paying particular attention to the research method.
3 :- Our brain is like a director of our body , our movements , feelings all are guided by our brain. We all know that our brain is responsible for helping we think and helps our organs to work to keep us alive. But emotions and behaviour are guided by activity in our brain.when ever we feel heart broken, our brain sending out signals. When some one hears voices that are not there, his brain working overtime. So , when someone has a psychological issue, often his or her brain is at the center of that problem and it's not just our brsinb because the brain and body are so intertwined, some psychological disorders actually show up in a person's body as well as in their brain. Psychiatric nurse work with individuals , families, groups, and communities , assessing their health needs, diagnose and treat individuals or families with psychiatric disorders. The psychiatric nurse practitioner to be educated across the life span to handle such type of disordered persons who are mentally as well as behaviourally in a state of disorder.
4 :- As we know that genetics is the branch of biology concerned with the study of genes, genetic variations and heredity in organisms. The human genome is mostly the same in all people , but variations are across the genome. Genes may carry the risk of certain diseases and disorders that may pass on from parents to offsprings . Cognitive genomics function in which the genes and no coding sequence of an organisms genome related to the health and activity of the brain are studied in humans , approximately 70% of all genes are expressed in the brain. Human brain development is created through continuing complex interactions of genetics and environment al influences , demonstrating that genetic factors provide a significant contribution to variations in brain structure. Behavioura differences to specific environmental factors is also no straightforward . Genes do not code for behaviour , but for the building blocks of the cells involved in the development of that cortical region relevant to that behaviour. Thus study shows that genes do not act in isolation , particularly in the generation of complex traits such as brain volumes, and so . Professional nursing organisations support the incorporation of genetics into nursing curricula and the attainment of a working knowledge of genetics by all nurses. So that the basics of psychiatric genetics are presented to provide a foundation for the understanding of current and future findings in the field as well as information about family history assessment and appropriate references.etc.
