Dear students:

Q1. Insulin is a harmone produced by the beta-cells of pancrease Insulin helps the body to regulate blood sugar level. Sugar is the most important source of energy for the body in our day to day life activities.

Q2. Insulin impairment is caused by the dysfunction of the pancreatic cells(beta cells of pancrease) , by which their is impairment of insulin production.

Effects:

  • Diuresis
  • Weight loss
  • Tiredness
  • Hypotension
  • Infection etc.

Q3. The dietary restrictions alone would not be feasible way to prevent metabolic acidosis because it is a cluster of conditions that occur together like high blood pressure, high sugar, excessive body fat ,high cholesterol level etc. The cluster of conditions cannot be controlled by diet restrictions only . The life long commitment to a healthy lifestyle is needed to prevent metabolic syndrome and the commitment are as follows:

  • Getting atleast 30 minutes physical activity daily.
  • Reduce or manage stress.
  • Avoid smoking ,alcohol.
  • Maintaining a healthy weight

Q4. The two strategies which can bu used to improve the physical activity of population group are as :

  • Measure physical activity as a vital sign: the population group should be engaged in various physical activities and tell them how exercise is important part of health just like other vital signs(like blood pressure). If exercise goals are not met then health practitioner should start conversation with the population group about the importance of physical activity in health. The behaviour change is also important to improve the physical activity.
  • Create healthy environment: The environment which is free from noise and stress helps the population to be physically active. The healthy physical environment and healthy physical activity also helps to improve the physical activity of population group....

Thank u..
