PREVENTION OF SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASE S
while sexually transmitted disease affects individual of all ages , STDs take a particulary heavy toll on young people . CDC estimates that youth ages 15-24 make up just over one quarter of the sexually active population , but account for half of the 20 million new sexually transmitted infection that occur in the United states each year . so its prevention is most important to control it , we can do teh prevention in much better way , as it in our hand to control the sexually transmitted disease .
The most relaible way to avoid infection is not to involved in the sexual activities ( i.e anal, oral , vaginal ) this is called as abstinence Vaccines are also safe effective and recommended ways to prevent hepatitis B and HPV . The HPV vaccination is recommended for preteens ages from teh 11 or 12 ( or can start at the age 9 ) and everyone through age 26 , if not vaccinated already , and by also reducing the number of sexual activities withh partners can decrease ypur risk for STDs . it is still important that you and your partner get tested and that you share your test results with one another .. Also one of teh most prevention method is mutual monogamy that means that you agree to be sexually active only one person , who has agreed to be sexually active only with you . Being in a long term mutually monogamous relationship with an uninfected partner is one of the most reliable ways to avoid STDs . but as you must both be a certain you are not infected with STDs . It is important to have an open and honest conversation with your partner .. As well as correct and consist use of the male latex condom is highly effective in reducing STD transmission . Use a condom every time you have anal , vaginal or oral , sexual activities . If you have the latex allergies , synthetic non latex condoms that can be used . But it is important to note that these condoms have higher breakage rates than latex condoms . Natural membrane condoms are not recommended for STDs prevention
But if any one is suffered , knowing your STD status is a critical step to stopping STD transmission . If you know you are infected then you can take steps to protect yourself and as well as your partners .
Be sure to ask your healthcare provider to test you for teh STDs ---- asking is the only way to know whether you are receiving the right tests . And don't forget to tell your partner to ask a healthcare provider about STD testing as well.
Many STDs can be easily diagnosed and treated . If either you or your partner is infected , both of you need to recieve treatment at the same time to avoid getting re- infected .
