1. GERD may get worsen with all the given option except the option D, that is chewing gum does not worsen GERD.
2. The correct answer for this question is option B. Laryngo-pharyngeal reflux is most commonly associated with excessive throat clearing (which may be due to formation of excess saliva or phlegm), coughing, hoaresness and globus pharyngeus (lump in the throat sensation). Rest of the options are not associated with LPR.
3. Tagamet is the brand name of Cimetidine which is a famous H-2 receptor blocker therefore it can't be the answer. Axid is also an H-2 receptor blocker brand of Niztidine and so is Pepcid (Famotidine), which of course are not the correct answer. Therefore the only option remains is Medium, but no such brand is known to my knowledge. May be the Esmoperazole brand "Nexium" is mistakenly written as Medium. If this is the case then option D is correct answer.
4. The correct answer of this question undoubtedly is option B, because Lansoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor and is well known antacid, while as the rest of the options are famous for their ulcer causing adverse reactions.
5. Domperidone acts as peripherally selective antagonist of dopamine D2 and D3 receptors and provides relief from nausea by blocking receptors at the chemoreceptor trigger zone (CTZ) at the floor of the fourth ventricle. Therefore option D is the correct answer of the question.
6. Option C Irritable Bowel syndrome is the correct answer of this question. Rest of the option falls under Inflammatory bowel disease category.
7. The correct answer of this question is option D because ulcerative colitis is associated with colon only and not the small intestine. Therefore this statement is false.
8. Option E Loperamide is the correct answer for this question because this drug falls under category of Morphine derived products, and it may become a habit forming drug. Therfore it is included in drug-specific prescribing program.
9. Option D is the correct answer for this question.
10. Ulcerative colitis targets large intestine mainly colon therefore option A is the correct answer.
11. The correct answer of this question is option B. Glucocorticoids increases inflammation is a false statement, rather it decrease inflammation.
12. Option E that is Olsalazine is the correct answer of the question. Rest of the drugs are well used in crohn's disease.
