Animal models are indispensable for simulating human diseases. One ethical defense for these studies rests on the potential benefits (in both "pure" knowledge and clinical value) exceeding any suffering that might be experienced by the experimental subjects. Can the same justification be used for associative studies of behavior? For example, if we identified a locus that contributes a 1% increased risk of opioid addiction in humans, but 10,000 rats were sacrificed to learn this, was the tradeoff worth it?

The use of animals in scientific research is highly controversial. The immense gulf between human beings and animals can no longer be sustatained in the face of a large body of scientific evidence concerning the similarities between human beings and animals ,this is older justifications given on this topic. These animals can suffer like us in many important ways .Ajustification given by researchers is that expected benefits on research ,in terms of knowledge and medical applications, outweigh the suffering imposed. However, while the infliction of suffering on animal models must meet stringent conditions, research which involves paneless death of animals is often easier to justify ,since few animals other tan human beings poses the psychological capacities required to care about their future.Benefitance is the major principle of ethics is highlighted here .Primary ethical concern regarding this animal research is that animals should be used only if there is no alternative, and other spot-checks should be carried out.Rsearcher always follow an ethics code i.e acquire, care for,use and dispose of animals in complaince with current federal ,state and local laws and regulations and with proffessional standards.

2. Describe the evidence, from both animal and human studies, that the endocannabinoids are involved in the extinction of learned fear responses. For this question, please do exactly that, provide one example from the research that is out there (not only from the book as again I want you to look to other literature for supporting this) regarding one human paradigm and one animal paradigm which supports this response.
