patient may obtain each service.
Medicare part A is a federal program that provides impatient/ hospital coverage if you are of age 65 or above 65 and you have a disability, no matter your income .
Medicare Part B covers medically necessary services and equipment, including doctor’s office visits, lab work, x-rays, wheelchairs, walkers, and outpatient surgeries.
specific criteria for services includes:
1. Skilled services limited to nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and home health aid support.
2. It is intended for the individuals recuperating from an acute problem such and stroke, and who need those services to regain their previous level of functioning and chronic conditions like Alzheimer's disease, Autism Spectrum disorder, Depression, Cancer, COPD, Asthma, Diabetes, Heart disease ( heart failure, hypertension, atrial fibrillation, ischemic disease), arthritis (OA, RA), osteoporosis.
3. Generally only covered by Medicare for a limited time. Inpatient mental health care in a psychiatric hospital is limited to 190 days in a lifetime.
