After visiting older adults, the unique challenges they face regarding different aspects of their life are summarised below:

The older adult named Mr. Andrews whom I interviewed was almost 75 years old, lives A couple of kilometers away from my house and is A good friend of my grandfather. He expressed concerns about his health. First of all, the most apparent health problem in him which I identified was the problem of hearing. He heard me only when I spoke a bit louder. While he also expressed his health issue relating to his back pain, eye sight and knee ache.

He revealed that his unmarried son is living in a different city for his job purpose and his married daughter comes to visit him once or twice a week. All other other time he is alone at home and needs to take his care by himself.

He expressed issues regarding his eye sight , even after undergoing a surgery of eye which removed his cataract. But after a year or two his eye sight has again went back to how it was or maybe even worse.

He himself goes to regular heath check ups, to the hospital located a mile away. However the issue is that he is not allowed to drive the car, therefore has to wait for a cab to take him to doctor.

But most of the times her daughter calls uber for taking him to hospital when she is herself not available to drive him.

Mr Andrews has insured for health A year ago and his son pays the premium of his health insurance, as per which he will be compensated in the form of paying medical expenses if the individuals bill exceeds a certain amount.

He is a retired officer and gets pensions, thus bears all his small medical expenses himself. He also intends to hire a driver to drive him in case of medical checkup or emergency if arises.

He has a cook who lives in the outhouse and does all his work related to kitchen, the cook is entrusted with getting stock for kitchen and doing rest of the chores.

He is subscribed to a cloth cleaning agency whose washermam comes every week for laundry.

So there is no houshild butden in his shoulders.

He visits the near by park when he gets bored and often takes stock with himself although he does require it, but likes it.

The concerned hospital where he goes for his treatment is located very far from his residence, and that's the reason he proposes to hire a driver.

Mr Andrews visits his son twice a month and often stays for some days where his son takes him to the full body check. He will have to soon undergo a second eye surgery to ensure he is able to see clearly.

His daughter comes with her kids and takes him to vacation winters , to the places where he can recover from his bad chest , which he often gets in winters.
