Make 3 predictions about US healthcare and how it will look in 10 years.

Solutions

Expert Solution

US healthcare is expected to undergo a drastic change in 10 years. Many predictions can be made about these changes. These are:

1. It will be based on universal healthcare and all citizens will get access to healthcare and health disparities will be a thing of the past.

2. Acute care treatments will get equal importance as specialty treatments with readiness to face any future pandemics.

3. US healthcare will be more technology-based including more elements of nanotechnology, robotics, etc.

Even though the US healthcare is not on the right path now, it is expected to be on the right track within a few years if everything works as expected and new healthcare policies for free quality healthcare for all is enforced. It has a bright future with lower mortality and morbidity rates. With more importance to telemedicine and less crowded facilities, the waiting time will be reduced. Innovative technologies will be an advantage to both the providers and the patients, which would lead to increased quality and productivity of the professionals. The patients can enjoy more quality life with decreased length of hospital stay and quick remedies. US healthcare even has a prospect of developing into a healthcare tourism country, which could become a really good revenue source.
