NURSE PRACTICE MANAGER
Work with the multi desciplines health care team to ensure the effectiveness & monitor the outcome
Regardless of the settings case manager helps to ensure that care is oriented to the client, while controlling cost.
As a practice nurse,
1 COORDINATOR/ COLLABORATOR
Coordinates with other departments (Nutritionist, Physiotherapist, Doctors, Pharmacy, CSSD, Biomedical, MRD, Maintenance, IT, Laundry & House Keeping)
Coordinates with patients relatives by giving updates about condition & treatment as well as by consent.
Supervision to ensure the standards are met as per the hospital policy
Directing the team & avoiding conflict , confusion & malpractices.
2. TIME MANAGEMENT
As a clinical decision maker, the nurse shoud use critical thinking skills through out the nursing process to provide effective nursing care, especially while handling several clients in a shift.
Before giving care they should plan their action by deciding the best approach for each client.
They can make this decision in collaboration with other health care professionals.
Updating & maintaining medical records for legal protection as well as for follow up
3. RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
A nurse should use the nursing process of assessing, planning, implementing & evaluating outcomes to meet clients need at the least cost.
