An econometrics teacher is a person who teaches econometrics. He is supposed to have tharoug knowledge and understanding of econometrics. Econometrics is a discipline in economics which applys statistics to find out solutions to various economic problems.

In other words Econometrics is a discipline which makes inferences based on "quantitative analysis of economic problems " by connecting it with updated theories and practices. Here the person who teach econometrics must have ideas about application of mathematics and statistics in the field of economics.for example knowledge about "multiple linear regression" which is used in economics for a variety of purposes.

He must have through understanding of facts, concepts, principles and laws of both economics and statistics. He also requires some mathematical awareness too.As well as he must be competent in approaches, methods and techniques of teaching econometrics.
