Discuss some of the controversies involved in infant routines (e.g., scheduled vs. demand feeding, handling sleep problems, breast vs. bottle feeding), and state your opinions on which technique is superior. Locate research that supports your opinion. Please include references
The problems encountered during breast feeding of baby includes inflammation of stomach and intestine of baby, passing out of watery stools, diarrhea, stomach pain and infection due to microrganisms. The suckling, swallowing and intake of milk by the baby depends upon the development of jaws and teeth which are absent during infancy therefore suckling is much easier. As the child grows old, the child is feeded with the help of artificial feeders, tubes and bottles as the child develops teeth which can cause painful reflex to mother during breast feeding.Kangaroo mother care is an important aspect of breast feeding as the child is wrapped on the chest of mother with the help of blanket or sheet. The child is able to drink and suckle milk as when he feels hungry due to development of appetite reflex in child.A statistical analysis was done in a group of small infant children in which they were divided into two groups, one group was fed with bottle milk and other group was fed by breast cup milk of the mother. The experiment revealed that the breast cup milk children developed much more appetite, reflex and health than bottle fed infant children. The weight, growth pattern, body size and growth of infants was measured after feeding them with milk during different life stages of infancy.Various food supplements like lactose ,glucose are given to increase the diet of the infants as additional outside source.Mother milk is monitored in cases of diseases like HIV or other viral diseases.Mother 's mik contains colostrum, anitibodies, proteins and fats which are very essential for the development of the baby and immunoglobulins are also present which increase the immunity response of the infant child after breast feeding of milk.Beast feeding of milk is superior as compared to other techniques like bottle feeding, tube feeding.
