Now a day Health care industries are not able to do patient care without good health care data base. Database is any collection of data organized for storage, accessibility, and retrieval.

Purpose of Healthcare Databases

·Healthcare databases are used as the foundation for running the many transactional systems flooding the industry.

·Health data base accommodates the creation of a wide range of transactional applications: EHRs, lab systems, financial systems, patient satisfaction systems, patient identification, ADT tracking, administration, billing and payment processing, research, HR, and education

Difficulty in developing and maintaining healthcare databases
