Expert Solution

Maria was the last queen of France before starting the French Revolution; the disputes arose over inequalities exhibited by Maria and her administration. Maria was considered a spendthrift due to her lavish lifestyle; the throne was faced with a crisis resulting from excessive funding, misuse of funds, and the economic situation in France (Kaiser & Thomas., 583). The court was used to enhance poor regimes, Maria was considered a spy, and claims were raised due to the dismissal of progressive ministers like Jacques Necker. Enlightenment concepts on democracy and equality established an intellectual framework for handling the encountered issues; American Revolution was viewed as the practical application of resolutions.

Maria rejected the reforms to be adopted, and resistance to French Revolution resulted in overthrowing of the monarch in 1792. Maria's administrative approaches resulted in revolution; the peasants felt burdened and were never willing to back up the burdensome and anachronistic feudal system (Goodman et al., 2003). Additionally, Maria's monarch failed to adapt to societal and political pressures exerted on it, and the majority considered it no longer divinely ordained. France being the most populous nation in Europe, never tolerated economic difficulties resulting from extravagant spending hence revolutions.
