The key impact of financing on healthcare delivery system involves determining the access to health care services. Insurance is a system or service that essentially protects the insured against risk. The type of health insurance options are group insurance, self insurance, individual private insurance, MCOs.
Financing also influences supply- side factors such as how much health care is produced. Financing eventually affects the total health care expenditure incurred by a health delivery system. An amount is paid as premiums for the insurance policy. Covered services are thus provide by the health care plans.
