1- Informed consent.- This is the permission granted in full knowledge of the possible consequences,typically that which is given by a patient to a doctor for treatment with knowledge of the possible risks and benefits.These are important in healthcare provider ,expalins a medical treatment to a patient before the patient agrees to it.

The principles of informed consent includes .

  • Describing the proposed intervention.
  • Emphazizing the patient's role in decision making.
  • Discussing alternatives to the proposed intervention.
  • Discussing the risks of the proposed intervention

It should include an explanation of the nature and procedure ,risks,outcome and all.

Identify an appopriate person to provide informed consent for the client.

Provide written materials in the client's spoken langugae when possible.

Describe componenets of informed consent.

Verify that teh client comprehends and consents to care and procedures.
