What are the three basic problems faced by marketing researchers when trying to assess consumers' willingness to buy products or services with which they are not familiar?
Consumer behaviour is the most important issue in marketing.marketing researchers often try to analyse consumers' mindsets of buying new products and they come across several problems in doing so ,some of them include excess data and poor quality data, complex opinions among the consumers, government restrictions on collection of data.
Poor quality data:- when marketing researchers appoint clients to collect data regarding consumer behaviour they usually tend to show no interest and try to submit cooked up data which is a major issue for researchers to assess consumer behaviour .
Complexity among consumers:- consumers usually show different opinions on the same product ,let's say the best suited products for America may not be the best ones for china owing to their regional interests hence these differences that occur globally among the customers provide no solution but a big question regarding their interest of new goods.
Government control over privacy concerns:- when these market forces try to know the consumer behaviour they usually try to know about the personal information of individuals which may be considered as security breach and privacy concerns by the government hence the government imposes several restrictions on the market researchers and they have to get prior approval from the same. All these hinder the process of assessment of consumer behaviour on new and non -familiar products.
