The bare minimum car insurance requirement for Alabama drivers is $25,000 bodily injury per person per accident, $50,000 bodily injury for all persons per accident, $25,000 property damage liability.

Alabama law requires that you also purchase Uninsured/Underinsured Motorists Bodily Injury Coverage in the minimum amount of $25,000 per person/$50,000 per accident, unless you tell your insurance provider in writing why you are opting out.
