The Ethical principles provide a framework in which any particular ethical componant or query can be analyzed and solved. ususally there are 4-5 ethical componants or ethical principles are framed ....
lets discuss each principles in relation with health care leadership
1. The Principle of Respect for autonomy....it refers to every individual’s independence and freedom or right of self-determination to make his/her own choices. Autonomy must be respected even if you, as the healthcare provider, do not agree with the client’s decision. BUT this autonomy may be restricted because of concern for the wellbeing of the community as in case of chances of communicable disease outbreaks...
2. The Principle of Beneficence .....The term beneficence tells you about ‘doing good’ for your client, like providing immunization as community service, Teaching new mothers about breastfeeding, Providing antenatal care for pregnant women.Health education about family planning, personal hygiene etc...
3. The Principle of nonmaleficence.....the concept of nonmaleficence tells you to ‘do no harm’ either intentionally or unintentionally to your clients....as some works in the concept of "doing good" is not applicable specially if it is related to the limited resource availability or against the cultural beliefs of the community...so we dealt them accordingly to leave it untouched but providing them the correct informations
4. The Principle of justice ....in a very simple words it is the obligation to be fair to all people. so you must ensure that Everyone should have access to the same things that might improve their health...
