In this case the person who is elderly is confiding that her son is using her names on checks and using it to withraw money from her bank account and eventually making it empty. This type of crime is punishable as per law.

As per the law forgery is considered felony according to the federal law. Generally the punishment depends on the type of forgery and includes serving a specific term in the prison, fines, compensating the victim for the amount that was forged etc.
