What differences and similarities between the two cyanobacteria samples did you observe?
Fill in the blanks with plant cell, animal cell, or bacterial cell. Questions may have more than one answer and answers can be used more than once
.a. You observed some cells through a microscope. You saw ribosomes, but no mitochondria. ____________________
b. You saw a cell with a flagellum, but it wasn’t a sperm. _____________________
c. You saw a cell with a cell wall. Which choice would be an incorrect definition? _____________________

ANS 2 (a)-Bacterial cell.
EXPLANATION-Plant and animal cell both are eukaryotic cells so they do have ribosome and mitochondria organelle inside the cell but the bacterial cell is a prokaryotic cells that do not have mitochondria inside the cell because the bacterial cell does not possess any large membrane-bounded organelles such as the nucleus, chloroplast and mitochondria. but have a ribosome to synthesize the bacterial protein.
(b)-Bacterial cell.
EXPLANATION-Plant and animal cell(except sperm) did not consist of flagellum only bacteria cell consists of flagellum such as Vibrio cholera, bacillus subtilis etc.bacterias are classified on the basis of a number of the flagellum and their arrangement on the bacterial cell.
Flagellum--->It is the cylindrical thread-like structure present on the microorganism body that helps them in movement of them. bacteria , protozoa and spermatozoa etc, microorganisms have flagellum present on their cell surface.
(c)-Plant cell
EXPLANATION- Only plant cells have cell walls, animal cells and bacterial cells did not have cell walls they only possessed plasma membrane as a protective covering for the cell to separate the cell cytoplasm from its outer material.
