If the scale of your graph
does not start from zero they could therefore be
misleading.
In this case you could get a graph
that is not of any standard size or even shape.
Thus,the oversized volumes of the
object will be too big for the vertical scale difference that they
represent.
In the above graph shows the number of summer days at a particular
place in the consecutive years 2007 and
2008.
Notice that, both give us the same data.The graph that is drawn towards the right side however makes the changes look much bigger than what it is actually.This is because on the left graph,I have not started the verrtical axis from zero.
